Born in Canada. Growing everywhere. Established in 1951 in Calgary, Alberta, IKO has been family-owned for four generations and now has 37 plants across North America and Europe.

Made in Portland, Oregon. Owens Corning Roofing began production of fiberglass reinforced shingles in 1977. For almost 40 years, Owens Corning has been producing high quality 3-tab and architectural shingles for shipment throughout the Pacific Northwest, Canada and even into Asia.

The company was originally incorporated as Building Products Limited in 1925 with the merger of two respected manufacturers. Bird and Son, founded in 1795, built what was to become BP’s fibreboard plant in Pont-Rouge, Quebec, in 1905. Ruberoid Company started up the LaSalle, Quebec, roofing plant one year later. The company brought its roofing and paper making capabilities to the West with the construction of a mill in Edmonton in 1951.

Founded in 1956, Malarkey Roofing Products is a US manufacturer of residential and commercial roofing products, with production facilities in Oregon, California, and Oklahoma.

A little more thought, a little more effort, a little more care. If there’s a better, more sustainable way to make a shingle, we intend to find it.
